Players Club Live at Full Tilt

Thursday, August 27th, 2015

Full Tilt PokerFull Tilt has made several changes over the past few weeks that has the online poker industry abuzz. The most recent change comes in the form of a new rewards option for players. The Players Club is part of the latest phase of changes to come to Full Tilt. The new loyalty program is for those who enjoy the game of poker in a recreational way.

Dominic Mansour is the Managing Director of Full Tilt and stated that this new program is geared towards recreational players. Most reward programs are centered around players who produce large volume in game play. With this new option, players who simply enjoy playing online will be able to be rewarded.

Every player who is a member of Full Tilt will automatically be enrolled in the Players Club. The club includes a special game titled The Deal which players can enjoy with Coins. The coins are earned during game play based on how many Full Tilt Points are earned by the player. The faster a FTP is earned the quicker coins are earned.

The game of The Deal costs one coin and a player will see seven cards dealt face down. The player will then choose two cards to be discarded. The five remaining cards will be used to create a poker hand. Prizes will then be awarded based on the strength of the hand. Players have the ability to earn a jackpot prize which starts at $25,000 and will increase by three cents as every player enjoys the game.

As a member of the Players Club, players will also have access to additional promotions and events. Special tournaments and prizes are awarded to those who continue to log in on consecutive days. Players can also access the Edge Program which is a reward option for the higher volume players. This option has three levels and provides cashback for FTPs based on a rolling day average or number of FTP earned.

Is Full Tilt Poker Coming to New Jersey?

Sunday, August 24th, 2014

Full Tilt PokerThe latest news to hit the poker industry in a major way is the fact that Full Tilt and PokerStars may soon be reentering the US online gambling market. The two top gambling sites are part of the Rational Group which was recently acquired by Amaya Gaming. Amaya has worked to try and see the two sites reenter the US with online gaming options for players to enjoy and recent developments have stated that the two sites will be launching in New Jersey, possibly as soon as October.

It has been years since PokerStars and Full Tilt have been allowed to operate in the US after the disaster that was Black Friday. Full Tilt Poker for US players as well as PokerStars would be a well-received option as both offer the best in poker gaming. Full Tilt also offers casino games and it has been stated by Amaya that PokerStars will be offering additional gaming as well.

Currently, Amaya Gaming is already licensed in the state of New Jersey, so it was easy to start there for a reentry into the US online gambling landscape. A recent conference call with Amaya Gaming and investors released details of the upcoming launch of both online gaming sites in the state of New Jersey. According to the call, Full Tilt casino games have been successful and the games were only offered to a small portion of FTP members. The casino games will be pushed further this year for the entire Full Tilt and PokerStars player base and expansion will be seen in several countries, not just the US.

Up for discussion were sports betting options, alongside casino gaming, as Amaya would like to further enhance the gaming options of both sites. With an addition such as sports betting, players will be able to take part in poker, sports wagering and casino gaming all in one place. This will create a larger player base along both poker sites.

Amaya has already decided to set aside a set amount of money to develop the sportsbook so we may see an option created by the gaming giant or they may consider trying an existing product for sports wagering. Amaya sees PokerStars and Full Tilt players as gamers who already take part in wagering on other gaming options so to add the same with the PokerStars and Full Tilt touch should be successful. With additional gaming options, the sites will also offer more promotional opportunities. Players will be able to take part in loyalty programs, bonuses and special promotions with one solid platform.

Amaya continues to expand both PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker so players have the option of enjoying the best in casino gaming. The coming months are sure to be exciting for US gamers as we see how the Amaya acquisition of the Rational Group plays out. Hopefully it will not be too much longer before poker players are able to visit the online poker sites once again.

New Tournament Style Launches Today at Full Tilt Poker

Wednesday, March 19th, 2014

Full Tilt PokerFull Tilt Poker is an online poker site that provides a nice selection of cash gaming and tournament options. Today a new tournament style is being released by the online poker room that players are sure to enjoy. Flipout Tournaments will launch today on the Full Tilt Poker client, getting players straight into the action at the gaming tables.

Players will be able to flip straight to the action with this new tournament style. Everyone who wins goes right into the money. no more short stack or money bubble or hours of pressure poker. The first round of game play will consist of all players going all in to determine who the winner is. The remaining players will then be reseated according to a standard multi-table tournament format. The event will then continue according to a standard betting structure. Players who are able to win the first round flip will be automatically in the money.

Sarne Lightman spoke to PokerNews on the new tournament option and stated that Flipout is an obvious time saver. Players will be in the money for a large tournament, which can be hard to do in regular game play. The average skilled player will be able to be on the money and enjoy tournament game play in a quicker time frame.

Starting today, the new format will be available for players to enjoy. Sit-n-gos will be available that will allow for the flip round and then move the players forward, with the automatic option of being in the money. Players will be able to experience a final table and play for big money when they might not ordinarily be able to do so. It will be interesting to see how well received the new format option is by players at Full Tilt Poker.

Poker Only for Top Online Poker Room

Friday, March 14th, 2014

PokerstarsPokerStars is a top online poker room known for offering high quality cash game and tournament play. Full Tilt Poker is the sister site of PokerStars and recently launched casino gaming options. This had many in the industry wondering if PokerStars would add casino gaming as well.

According to a TwoPlusTwo Question and Answer Session with Steve Day, a representative for PokerStars, the site will not be adding casino games. Day stated that as of right now there are no plans for casino games to be added to the client at PokerStars.

Day is not going to say never, but as of right now, PokerStars is going to be poker and nothing else. Day stated ‘We are Poker’ and will offer nothing else. PokerStars has a full plate as of right now with several live poker tours and tournaments, regular online gaming and promotional opportunities. It also seems odd to think that PokerStars might begin to dabble in online casino games.

Full Tilt Poker first began to offer casino gaming in January of this year with the addition of blackjack and roulette. With the addition of these games to the poker client, the Rational Group marked the first time that games of a non-poker variety were offered for real money game play.

Slot gaming is also expected by Spring of this year with the recent partnership of The Rational Group with Leander Games. Slots will be added to Full Tilt due to the partnership in the coming months. The Full Tilt Poker site is also looking to possibly offer sports betting to members of the site.

So, for now, players can enjoy online casino and poker gaming at Full Tilt Poker. PokerStars will remain an online poker site and will not be adding casino gaming options at this time.

Full Tilt Repayments to Begin Today

Friday, February 28th, 2014

Full Tilt PokerEarlier this week, the Garden City Group announced that the Full Tilt Poker reimbursement process should begin for some players today. The claims administrator updated the Full Tilt Poker Claims site to tell players that if they had passed the bank testing phase, payments would begin starting today.

ACH deposits should begin today for those who had correct paperwork and an undisputed claim. The Garden City Group will begin to pay the payments in which the information they had and what players turned in was correct. Players have been without their funds since mid-2011 and have been waiting for this day for some time.

Players who had sent in information that was incorrect or incomplete should have received an email from the Garden City Group. The email listed what players needed to do to update bank account info to compete the process. If the updated information is not received by the 13th of March, the GCG will be sending a check to the mailing address the have on file for the player. These players should receive their payment via bank account, if the new info is sent in, during the second go round of payments.

It was just this past January that the Garden City Group approved to pay back some $82 million to former players of Full Tilt Poker in the US. Close to 30,000 players had their balance withheld back in April of 2011.

Though the $82 million is quite large, this is not even half of what players were originally due after the site was shut down in the United States. Players have had to put up with a great deal and the whole ordeal grew quite tiresome some time ago. Hopefully, the payments will run smoothly and players will be reunited quickly with their long lost funds.

US Poker Players to Receive FTP Funds – FINALLY!

Friday, January 24th, 2014

For years now, former Full Tilt Poker players in the US have been waiting to receive the cash that was frozen in their online poker accounts. The Poker Players Alliance is now reporting that 30,000 players will now receive payment after the DOJ approved the release of funds totaling $82 million.

The Garden City Group took the petitions of players and after the audit was completed, the Department of Justice was happy with the results and decided to release the funds for payment. The Executive Director of the PPA, John Pappas, released the information on popular poker forum TwoPlusTwo just a few days ago.

Pappas stated that this is good news and he was informed by the AFMLS/DoJ staff that 30,000 undisputed player claims would be paid for a total of $82 million in remissions. Garden City was expected to make a formal announcement as well. Players who have an undisputed claim should expect communication from Garden City Group via an email. The email will list instructions on how to receive payment.

The DOJ did not inform Pappas with a date for when the email would be sent as well as when payment would be processed. Pappas did state that it looks like this process will take place before the deadline set previously at March 31st.

The Executive Director did state that affiliates and pro repayments are still unresolved. Apparently the DOJ and Garden City Group are working on this and Pappas believes that news would be shared with this group soon. Reports state that a new filing window will be set for these players in this particular group.

Players are certainly ready for repayment and hopefully money will be back in the right hands before long. It will be interesting to see how the process for affiliates and pros will play out.  Hopefully players getting their long awaited funds will practice proper bankroll management going forward!

Weekend Deadline for FTP Claim Filing

Thursday, November 14th, 2013

For months now players have been working through the repayment process at Full Tilt Poker. Former players from the US who were involved with Full Tilt and had their funds frozen have now been filing claims with the Garden City Group to be repaid. Players now have until this weekend to file their claim before the deadline.

The deadline set by the Garden City Group is for November 16th , which is this Saturday, and players must make their claim before this date. Back in September, the company was hired by the Department of Justice to be able to facilitate the repayment process. The group first started by reviewing the data and then began to make different announcements, explaining the process to players and how they need to go about filing.

According to the Garden City Group, there were over 1.4 million emails sent out to former Full Tilt Players to try and complete the remission process. Poker Players Alliance has kept track of the progress of the remission process and according to the group, close to 35,000 petitions were filed as of now.

Payouts should be taking place in 2014, during the first part of the year. The Garden City Group will now need to review the claims and see if the information given by players lines up with the information that they have on file. This may take some time, but the projected repayment process should take place in the first quarter of next year.

This has been a very long process, first beginning in April of 2011. It seems as though the process may official by over by 2014, which could be three years after the process began. Players are surely ready to receive their money after having it hold for so much time. We will continue to follow this process and see if and when players will be paid the money that is rightfully theirs.
